A letter supposedly written by Sir Robert Pigot, the commander of British forces during the Battle of Rhode Island to Sir Henry Clinton. The letter follows with commentary by an anonymous "American Officer" who generally states that Pigot overstated the extent of British success at the Battle of Rhode Island to his commander.
